It usualy takes Months to make a perfect flash but if you are gonna make a sprite flash, it doesn't take that long. I was the Writer on my flash movie, If you are asking what does a Writer do then The Writer's job is make the flash movie, think every thought, characters, this and that etc. The Writer is a like a god.
So, what your saying is that sprite animations are easy? I can probably understand why because with sprites, the different movements for characters and objects are set, so you don't have much drawing to do.

Spriting is easy because you'll just making a flash with characters in small form and pixelated which means you'll just making flash a whole lot easier.
I might try some of this later on today.

well flash is something that you learn about by playing and experimenting when the cs5 trial i have finishes downloading i'm making a tutorial for youtube under the same username. i'll show how to perfect sprite animation, basic drawing skillz, and how to do tweens and such.

Like everyone else says, just screw around with the program. Experiment. What you should do is start of with sprites, that way you don't have to draw exactly frame by frame. Then try making your own backgrounds or landscapes.

belive it or not i did flash before and im going to have some on ng soon and yes you must have a great flash player downloaded then you make characters on your computer then do freeze stops and soon like in a mouth depending how big it is you can make one like jonbro did in his crap things (there really not crap there really good and stuff he just calls it im freinds with him i better talk to him he can give you great flash tips
